Employees of Doosan Škoda Power dedicated a working day to helping their local communities. A total of 98 volunteers participated in activities across twelve organizations - ranging from schools and kindergartens to a hospital, community centers, a zoo, and animal shelters. The assistance primarily focused on facility maintenance, green space management, minor repairs, and cleaning. This year's Day of Community Service took place in October.

"Our primary goal is to produce cutting-edge technologies in the Czech Republic, but equally important is how the company interacts with its surroundings. Day of Community Service has an immediate, visible impact on local organizations and simultaneously strengthens our team. I am proud of my colleagues who regularly return to help where it's needed," says Richard Kabuď, HR Director at Doosan Škoda Power.

Assistance was directed to locations where volunteers have repeatedly provided support. At the Pilsen Zoo, twenty employees took care of outdoor area maintenance – raking leaves and grass, and weeding. At the Transfusion Department of FN Plzeň, volunteers donated blood, while another team managed a combination of cleaning, painting, and handling tasks in the hospital's shelters.

Significant help was also provided to schools and kindergartens. At Preschool Ruská, volunteers weeded flowerbeds along the fence, trimmed hedges, and created an herb spiral. At Preschool Ke Špitálskému lesu, volunteers renovated a "dry pond" – replacing rotten logs with new ones, adding pebbles and mulch, and tidying surrounding grasses and shrubs. At the 22nd Primary School in Pilsen, they cleaned the landing area for shot put; all colleagues voluntarily stayed until 6:30 PM to complete the work.

Aid also reached organizations caring for animals. At the Dog Shelter in Pilsen, facility maintenance included raking, sweeping, and window cleaning. At Fousky z.s., a team cleaned, fed, and cared for cats, and sorted donated items. Seven volunteers traveled to the Jinačovice Rescue Station near Brno, where they focused on cleaning kennels, gardening, and tidying outdoor areas; the station cares for foxes, birds of prey, owls, and herons, among other animals.

At the TOTEM intergenerational center, popular "DOBROsušenky" (Good Cookies) were baked, this time decorated with a center logo stamp, and semi-finished products were prepared for creative workshops – wire art, beads, and bracelets.

Day of Community Service is a stable part of Doosan Škoda Power's corporate calendar. After a break due to COVID, the company resumed this tradition, and employees annually have the opportunity to dedicate a working day to helping the region.
