We are very pleased that KHNP came out of the tender as the winner and is the preferred supplier. This means that we at Doosan Škoda Power will provide the turbines for the two new units at Dukovany.
We are proud to be part of the future Czech energy. It is a decade-long job, the turbine production itself takes about two years, preceded by design and construction work, supplier selection and other preparatory activities. Along with this, we offer the possibility of servicing the equipment for up to 70 years of the plant lifetime. Together with our parent company, we as Doosan Škoda Power are ready to deliver not only the turbines in due course but also other equipment of the machine hall together with our Czech partners in order to contribute the commitment of 60% of local content.
We are pleased that the Czech state has made this decision based on clear criteria. We also want to return the trust in cooperation on this prestigious contract to the company by investing in the development of technical education and transfer of new technologies for green energy production such as electrical generators and hydrogen/gas turbines. Thanks to this project, the Czech Republic will be able to focus more on talent development, and cooperation with universities will be deepened to develop competences for the energy industry.
Cooperation on a prestigious and strategic energy project for the Czech Republic is a great commitment for us. We are not afraid of it, we can handle it and we are proud of it.
