    We have been at the forefront of saturated stream turbine technology for nuclear power plants since the 1960s. To date, we have manufactured and commissioned dozens of units, primarily for PWR power plants.

    Steam Turbines for Nuclear Power Plants

    Our turbines have been optimised for the rigorous demands of nuclear technology. They feature materials and construction that ensure resilience to water drop erosion at high temperatures, when using moist steam applications at high pressures. Special construction techniques are also applied when moist steam is applied over the entire pressure range during expansion in the turbine. Our turbines have been developed to handle the enormous steam flow parameters that are generated, which make extraordinary demands on the steam turbine structure. We incorporate full-revolution solutions up to 1200 MW, to ensure that the pressure and expansion of individual components are maintained within normal parameters. We also deploy this technology across our entire range of high-power turbines. Our latest saturated steam turbines have also been optimised for increased efficiency and power.
