Steam Turbines for District Heating
Turbines for district heating feature an intriguing design and configuration. They can either be back-pressure or condensing types with regulated steam consumption. We have developed a rotating partition for regulating the pressure, so that the consumption can be located in the low-pressure part of the turbine. This optimises the unit for water heating at relatively low temperatures, as required by today’s projects. Our machines can also be operated with closed regulation valves, where only a minimum amount of steam flows into the condenser for cooling the final turbine levels. This arrangement offers the flexibility of different winter and summer operation – and permits a high heat consumption rate.
These turbines are typically supplied to countries with established heat ducting systems, including the Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark, Finland and Russia.
