We have already put into operation the industrial turbine of 50 MW in Mönsteras, which also belongs to the company Södra Cell AB. The projects of Lund 39 MW, Växjö 39 MW, and Vartan 131 MW are now in different stages of implementation.
The new project concerns the extension of the power plant in Värö. Doosan Škoda Power will supply the power plant not only with the industrial turbine of 64 MW type MTD40CE, but also with the system of condensation, piping within the scope of our supply, transport, and assembly, as well as putting the whole system into the operation. The new turbine ensures the electricity production for the pulp mill; its eventual overpower will be supplied into the network. The new block for biomass will increase the proportion of “green energy” within the electrification system to the detriment of fossil fuels.
The customer satisfaction and the satisfaction of the owner, the company Södra Cell AB, with previously supplied turbines for Värö and Mönsteras helped us significantly win the tender. Moreover, also their trust in us to be a reliable partner created an important part in winning the tender.
“We have chosen the company Doosan Škoda Power as the supplier of the new turbine because they had submitted a very competitive bid. Moreover, we are very satisfied with the turbine of Doosan Škoda Power, which has been under operation in Värö since 2007” says Jonas Eriksson, the director of Södra Cell VARO.
